Re: stage one interview
You cannot record any interview without prior consent
With any disciplinary meeting, the manager will write up the notes. The employee will get a copy prior to any decision and asked if they agree with what has been stated
You record covertly that meeting will be a mutual breakdown of trust and confidence between employer and employee

Re: stage one interview
You can refuse stating you want a Rep to sit in the interview though it will probably be a dead cert you will receive a Stage One.

Re: stage one interview
Stage 1s have been issued without fail for a good few years now. Don't think that either stage 1s or stage 2s can be appealedguardianangel wrote: ↑04 Apr 2023, 14:45They will issue a stage 1 anyway they always do now unless your in the bosses club that's how Royal Mail work, more corrupted than the Tory party.

You can appeal the managers justification as to his reasoning in issuing the attendance warning with a grievance.

Maybe you should tell the managers not to record anything then as well.redlen wrote: ↑20 Mar 2023, 17:54You cannot record any interview without prior consent

Royal Mail managers.....about as popular as a t.urd in a swimming pool!
The DDA/Equality Act demands action,NOT words......adjustments NOT Occupational Health referrals.Case No:2505901/09
Royal Mail is an Equal Opportunities Employer..It discriminates against everybody.

Re: stage one interview
Has anyone ever had any success with a grievance being upheld? If you appeal then the case is just taken on by another manager and managers always stick up for each other! Grievance policy is not worth the paper it's written on.

Managers are also employees subject to the same disciplinary procedure as any other employee.

"Managers are also employees subject to the same disciplinary procedure as any other employee."
In theory, yes they should be but in practice they are not. Managers have got each others backs.
