Would you put in a grievance ?

Post by yubin282 »

I'm thinking about putting a grievance against a colleague.

Yesterday I suffered a dog bite. Small wound on my right index finger, not the end of the world. Just continued working and completed my delivery.

Now the more sinister part. I was delivering mail that should've been delivered the previous day (my rest day) by the float. 2 items of mail for an address with a flight of stairs up to the door that had been "missorted" by the float (again). Or as I like to call it "selective delivery".

This has been a regular occurrence for over a year whenever I take a day off. I inform the manager(s) and CWU rep every week and nothing changes.

Do you think I should put in grievance against the colleague and/or managers ?

There's lazy f***ers at every office, and whilst it's annoying, you're really gonna struggle to prove said person doesn't deliver to a single address once a week. You should however report the dog bite, and probably get deliveries suspended to said address.

No ,why bother if your manager is not?
Report the dog bite in case it turns septic.

Not worth the hassle. But I know where you're coming from. I used to do big parcels for 6 duties and I would be given all the awkward calls they didn't want to do and even letters banded around the parcel for it.

What's wrong with that?

It's not difficult to prove the person's too lazy to even try and hide it. Just put them back in the IPS at the end of the shift, or throw them onto my frame the next morning (after taking them home for the night).

Next time be wary of the dog but a grievance is not worth it sorry your injured hope your resting well and recovering from your injury. How was the Manger responsible for your injuries except not covering a duty this could happen any day and will happen again. BUT FOR YOU THE WAR IS OVER!
