Annual Leave Card Query?

Quicky.

Ive tried to book an odd day off in May but Manager has ticked 'Insufficient Leave available' so refused.

I don't understand why as I've got 4.5 days showing as 'carried over'

Any ideas?

Perhaps he meant the office has insufficient leave available on that day for him to give to you?

As in, they are all fully booked up with people off already.

I was thinking that too but there is another box he could have ticked saying 'Dates unavailable' which I'd have thought would be the one to tick in that case.

Can you check on the App if it has actually been carried over yet to the 2023/24 holiday year?

I’ve got outstanding leave for 2022/23 but on the app it is still listed as being valid from 1 March 2022 to 31 March 2023. So maybe it isn’t actually carried over till April 1st. Probably worth trying again next week.

That's what I thought! 4.5 Days is enough to take 1 day isn't it!!

I asked the Manager and he said I don't have enough leave to take it, then I showed him my leave card with the 4.5 carried over, he still said I haven't enough

I said whys it showing 4.5 days carried over then, surely I should say zero, he couldn't answer that part

Are you definitely sure its 4.5 days and not 4.5 hours.

100% states days, absolutely no idea what's going on!

Leave is only quoted in hours these days so that would be 4.5 hours available which means not enough for a days leave

Annual Leave is in HOURS not days, has been ever since PSP was introduced

Yes leave is done in hours now and if you look on the app it will tell you in hours how much has been used or is available but, for some reason, on the printed sheet they give you it still uses days.
