Problem is the deals that are being accepted in some places are not substantialy better than were offered prior to strike action. Where does that leave us. Up the creek without a paddle.

Re: Breaking News: RMT train strikes called off
I think Lynch did a fantastic job showing the media who's boss, and planned the strikes accordingly so as it would cause as much disruption to the public.
We should of hit them hard before xmas just like the RMT union but our union were thinking to much about people losing money during strikes. But unfortunately that's what strikes are about defending your terms and getting a fair pay. But none of that has really happened over the past six months, and everyone including the public are suffering because of these catastrophic changes.

Absolutely nailed on we get sold out with an abysmal deal now. No way will Ward want to be the last union leader in
Dispute. Too cowardly and inept for that. Royal mails “best and final offer” to be reworded and sold to us as deal of century at end of this week.

But who is their paymaster? NHS and network rail are not private companies.robking wrote: ↑22 Mar 2023, 17:54https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-64896128

I must be reading it completely different to you? This is exactly what the CWU are doing. Suspending strike action while hoping to secure a deal through negotiating.
Some of the replies are embarrassing..... "Too cowardly and inept for that" If you don't know by now the best and final offer has long gone, you're living in a different Universe.

Your gunna be massively disappointed when we are asked to vote yes to that deal pretty soon then. It won’t be called the best and final offer, they will dress it up and call it something else like the pathway tosweepster70 wrote: ↑22 Mar 2023, 19:41robking wrote: ↑22 Mar 2023, 17:54https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-64896128

Change etc but that’s what it will be. If you think this union has negotiated something substantially better than that original offer over the last 3 weeks then it’s probably you who’s in a different universe.

How can we know? the Communication Workers union is so terrible at communicating! how do you know? are you at the talks?sweepster70 wrote: ↑22 Mar 2023, 19:41robking wrote: ↑22 Mar 2023, 17:54https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-64896128

They keep telling us progress is being made but not what the progress is. I'm willing to bet that if the eventual deal isn't the B&FO it'll be it's identical twin brother with obviously a different name and given a fresh coat of paint.

STRIKE,and keep voting NO !!!!! if they go bust they go bust im fed up with being treated like a slave for a pittance and having a lot of bullying thrown my way for good measure, why would anyone want to carry on with the way we are being treated now ,you must be off your rocker,i for one will take it to the end whatever it takes, just a pity there's a lot of Britishness in this company where we roll over and have our tummy tickled (or should i say kicked).

So you would rather the company went bust and everyone becomes unemployed. All 120,000 people.guardianangel wrote: ↑23 Mar 2023, 08:03STRIKE,and keep voting NO !!!!! if they go bust they go bust im fed up with being treated like a slave for a pittance and having a lot of bullying thrown my way for good measure, why would anyone want to carry on with the way we are being treated now ,you must be off your rocker,i for one will take it to the end whatever it takes, just a pity there's a lot of Britishness in this company where we roll over and have our tummy tickled (or should i say kicked).
What about solidarity?!
Personally, it sounds like you are not coping and you should perhaps look at other employment.
There is no point in staying if you think of yourself as a ‘slave’.
I don’t think any realistic deal now will satisfy you.
