Is This Wilful Delay?

Post by Rumple »

Our Dom has been told not to let people work on their day off to cover a round that will knowingly not be delivered. Then expecting people to take double mail the following day.
Apparently this instruction was challenged by our Dom but was told this instruction has come from the top and is not for discussion. Our Rep contacted branch and he was told “what can we do?”

There is no such thing as Wilful Delay, as that requires intent

You have excused and unexcused delay

Cannot understand why people make an issue out of these things.
You simply follow managers reasonable instruction with a start and finish time,

What you or me think is irrelevant, it is the words in a national agreement that matter

I was asked to work my day off tomorrow.

I am available - but I said to him the goodwill is no longer there.

Nobody will cover it so it will be a Wed/Thursday double.
