Bank holiday whilst on sick leave.
Can anyone tell me if you get any bank holidays back in lieu or paid if you’re on sick leave during them. I ask this because my manager says she isn’t sure and seems reluctant to check it out. I know some firms do give it back in extra holidays. Thanks for any information.

Only annual leave is given back due to sick leave.
If you are on sick leave when a bank holiday falls then I'm afraid you don't get anything back.

Depends if the bank holiday falls on your scheduled day off. If so, then yes, you are owed a day off in lieu. For some reason payments have been stopped for bank holidays so the only option is a day off in lieu (just another one of RM cost saving exercises )

The chap is off sick and being paid so no financial detriment, so any scheduled day off is irrelevant.

You do not get bank holiday credit whilst you are on sick leave.
