Absolutely . He either can’t or won’t answer some of these questions. It’s now clear for the world to see that we have the wrong CEO running Royal Mail . Thompson himself proved that this morning . IMO , he’s now on borrowed time and his position is untenable.

However, I don't understand why they have to say they did not prioritise or not prioritising parcels over letters... What could the MPs or OFCOM do about it?

The select committee were overly aggressive and disrespectful but judging by the previous sitting and the committee being overly Labour or Alternative party biassed, it should be expected

On top of the fact that the CWU and the Unions are mostly pro-Labour and get bungs from Union Subs...

What will it achieve for us? More strikes and less concessions, maybe?

What exactly are the CWU fighting for now? We still do not know for sure what they have agreed and what is outstanding.

Apparently, Pay is done and dusted? And no back pay - I don't get it. A 3.5% plus £500 from last April for 18 months and then another 3% from October 2024 will have sufficed - with no loss of earnings.

By the way, we all get the £500! Because the revision will happen regardless of the Union or workers involvement - happy days, not!

what i don't get is, when he is questioned about the 758 million quid profit, he replies ''thats across the whole group, RMs profit was 416 million. that means GLS, supposedly the ''MONEY'' making side off the business made 342 million. that less than our side made.?? unless they are of course lying about that side of the business also.

I know RM have been cute in rarely putting in writing that we have to prioritise tracked packets etc over letters, but if thousands of us were to email those members on that select committee from around the country telling them that we have been instructed in daily huddles to do just that, if necessary leave letters in the frame and concentrate on tracked that could only help the cause, after all we all know from our own experiences that ST is lying!

So what we need are the email addresses of those select committee MPs?

the way Dave Ward mentioned the talks in that, it doesn't sound like he's too optimistic of the outcome, so we'll be out soon enough.

Probably are. GLS probably did pretty nicely out of us during COVID too I expect.
