Lets lighten the mood

Post by justanumber »

Mate who i used to work with at my old DO sent me a pic over weekend. He's a town centre walker with barrow. Had a click and collect to pick up, his biggest yet...... single mattress. Just for sh***s and giggles whats other peoples weirdest/largest collections you've had. I suppose what im trying to do is highlight that simple simons vision is one thts doomed :Very Happy

A 38" LCD tv, down as a 0.6kg large letter. Woman went so mad at me for saying I couldn't take it that my manager told me just to do it

Lol, u should see what we have to collect in parcel force. Some can have 50 boxes up to 30 kg and they rarely help you

i have quite a few businesses working from home on my delivery and adds at least half an hour onto my delivery, mostly large boxes and my van takes another 15 mins to unload i've actually started leaving a loop to do my collections, sometimes i wonder if the people at the top trying to cut costs are actually adding more cost.

I once had a Special Delivery that was a six foot tall tall plastic boot! I presume it was to hold presents as it was just before Christmas. They weren't in and it was then a ball ache all day in a tiny Vauxhall Combi van.

I had 7 Specials one day for the same house. It was a metal filing cabinet that had been dismantled and posted in separate packages and each package was very heavy. Halfway through signing for the recipient said they thought it was the wrong item! Luckily they didn't then refuse delivery and this was before Customer Collections.
