Xmas bonus

Post by Woody Guthrie »

Xmas payment

In recognition of people's efforts during a particularly busy time of the year we will be making the following payments in December.
Christmas supplement
We are pleased to confirm that Royal Mail will be making payment of the Christmas supplement on pay date 16 December for eligible weekly paid employees and in December salaries for eligible monthly paid employees.
Christmas supplement payments in December will be reduced to reflect industrial action during the peak period. Where this is not possible - due to pay timelines, overpayments will be recovered in January pay. Typically, each day of balloted industrial action will abate 3% of the supplement.
Underpin payment
Royal Mail will be making the Underpin payment to all eligible CWU represented employees on
16 December payday for weekly paid and in December salaries for eligible monthly paid employees.
We would like to take this opportunity to wish you and your families a happy festive period.

After all the s**t this company has pulled over the last few months I’m stunned we are still being paid this. It will cover tomorrow and Thursdays strikes though so thanks Mr Thompson :thumbup :thumbup

3% deduction per strike day, then tax off that doesn't leave much of the £100! Didn't mention deductions from 2nd £100 though

How about all those who cross the picket line, do bugger all on strike days and go home at 11am, donate their xmas bonus to a strike fund for those of us taking the financial hit.

Surprised ST's not threatening to take it off us for all being Naughty. :no no

I wonder what it's like to work for a company that's run by Nice People, who appreciate their employees, and actually reward them for the good work they do? :hmmmm

This situation is just getting bizarre, everytime one of these RM Yes Men open their mouths (even IF they're trying to say something positive) it just makes it worse. It's as if we speak different languages and something's getting lost in translation! :cuppa

It's not really a bonus as such, we just call it that.

CWU represented employees include people who are not in the union, so long as they are of a grade that is represented by the CWU rather than, say, Unite.
