It's bizarre to me how people are still trying to talk about this duspute as a simple case of industrial unrest that will be resolved in the normal way where both sides come together and peace is achieved. This so called final offer is a declaration of f**k you. As the union have already pointed out it couldn't possibly be agreed upon. The agreement dictates we can no longer ballot for ia again and the union is effectively a ghost. That one sticking point alone prevents it being agreed upon. It would require the union signing its own death warrant. They just want to asset strip gls and probably the rest of Mount pleasant and disappear. It's an easy gig for Thompson. The cleverest thing he did was make everyone and the union believe he was an advocate of trust

Weren't the union not so long ago having drinks & meetings & saying how nice it was to work together. It does appear, now that the Slymans agenda has finally come to light, that any talks at the moment are merely a bit of lip service for the workforce, general public and the media. They are seemingly coming for the make or break amazon, Dpd, Hermes/Evri...etc work model and pay and conditions. It beggars belief the stupidity of some people who think they can shoehorn a parcels delivery method into a mail delivery method, they aint the same and now matter how you jazz it up and give it daft names the problem will still remain the same, we cant do it!! Anyone postie worth their salt will tell you we do it in as cost effective way as humanly possible, trying to save indoor, outdoor, using pda data, its all bollocks. The latest solution to save money is more revisions with no chance of ever working in the time frame you are given. Ah well sure i may as well grease up and touch my toes...... or i can tell them to feck off and keep industrial action going, work exclusively to my time with no exceptions and tell my manager when he asks me on my one to one that i will continue in this mode until such time as Slyman is sacked and somebody sensible replaces him with a knowledge of what we do as a business, or a agreement is reached that is suitable for all concerned. Until Royal Fail employ some people who know what we do and have senior management that are not just a pack of nodding dogs ( You are allowed to question your senior managers decisions ) with no backbone or morals to stand up them. I am not saying that all managers are bad but they do seem to suffer from a bullying culture as well as any challenges are quickly shut down and said manager moved/sacked or forced to resign and they all cover for each other even when it is quite obviously wrong. Now you might not agree with me, and it is only my opinion so please dont be offended.
