I just wanted to know if there was a training allowance for training another postie on a new round, they are not new to the business,

Re: training allowance
A few years ago I got paid the office coach payment ad hoc for a few days as I had a bit of a moan that they kept giving me the new starters, rather than the actual office coach doing the training, so they can pay you something.
Never heard of a payment for showing an established postie round a duty though, I'd guess they'll just tell you tough but you could always ask nothing to lose.

people are telling me that there is a allowance for showing established postie a duty, just cannot find it anywhere, despite me asking for documents, to confirm what I am being told

Re: training allowance
yes there is, about £8 a day, not sure of the official name but your manager should be able to put it on PSP.
