Noticeably more media coverage recently from Dave. Really feel there’s a shift in our favour publicly too.

From what I saw of it Dave did a great job & must give credit to Ian Dale too for part he played in the phone in.
Most non biased towards the company narrative interviewer on any media platform I have seen.
This ain't no baseball game, you get only one chance and you blew it.

Great job getting message out about what's really going on and what we're striking about, rather than the nonsense on tv from broadcasters.

I support the strikes and the CWU but I thought it wasn't much of a balanced discussion, LBC seemed to only take pro-CWU calls.

I bet there was loads of callers out there angry at the strike but never got through.

He's decent Ian Dale. Was a Tory candidate at one point in time but he's always very fair and decent. No click bait 'gotcha' questions , and actually gives people a fair crack of the whip without tickling their bellies.

I was surprised at that myself

Maybe a bit of hope the media are starting to take our side

There was several calls from businesses upset about delays and several calls from posties moaning about the strikes dragging on and them struggling.

At the end of the day....all these issues are down to Thompson and Royal Mail.

They need to offer a fair deal and stop going down this mad draconian route.

It doesn't sound like they want to do a deal, this will drag on for months and months. So if you are struggling you're probably best to look at getting a side hustle, doing overtime where you can, or look at getting a new job.

Someone phoned in saying 'how are we going to walk another 2 or 3 or 4 miles a day on top of the 10 or so miles we already walk'.....

Dave Said - well, truth is they don't want you doing that - they are only interested in parcels and replacing you.

So what's going to happen to letters then. This is the question I'd ask him....

WHERE ARE LETTERS GOING? - Does Dave think it's going to end up with the letters business being sold off or does he think the government will have to take that service back when it gets to that stage.

Its not that they will go, (in the short term) its that the imposition of unattainable standards which will mean they can sack you for not working fast enough, force older slower workers out or just make it so you leave voluntarily because it would become such an awful job. You will then be replaced with casual/0 hour contracted staff.
