Redundancies
Well the COM on Tuesday told us all he’ll find out the definitive figure of people going from our office tomorrow ( 2/12 ) currently we have 118 staff and last time he was told 21 F/T staff are gone. The office was on its knees anyway ( before strikes ) with being 10+ staff needing to be replaced. I just don’t even want to imagine what this office will be like if they get this number gone, already walks not going out for days, packets not going out, D2D’s everywhere…all that goes out is tracked / specials it’s a absolute mess.
Also January packet men are gone so large packets are coming back onto duties, full staff will never be replaced like for like and all duties will be made part time, HOW THE HELL IS THIS GOING TOO WORK ??

Re: Redundancies
It's not going to work.
Management know that but are told to implement and claim 20% bonus.

Re: Redundancies
So any rumours regarding redundancies, will it ever happen. If so let’s just see what a balls up they make of it,most offices can’t cope now! But as long as they can make the major shareholders happy, they don’t give a toss about this 500 year old company

Re: Redundancies
Management neither care about us nor customers. It proves they are negligent on customer services. They must go.

Re: Redundancies
They may get that bonus, maybe not if the plan actually has to work! We all know there's no chance of that happening! Wouldn't want to be a dom/ com whatever they're called now, at least we can ,for now at least, just work our hrs.

Honestly, if everyone did this, then this dispute would have been over months ago.Walter sobchak wrote: ↑01 Dec 2022, 14:42Don’t worry about. Re: Redundancies
Same ratio at our place, no way it will work unless they plan on giving all the big parcels to men with ven.

Re: Redundancies
This is why they are so keen to bring in commit to deliver at some stage. It then won't matter to them how big the walks are. Also you'll probably have some dickhead com challenging you for going over so some saps will come in even earlier to avoid conflict

They want rid of Union members simply.
25K go for example. That significantly makes the Union weaker regarding IR and more importantly Financially.
