Re: Thompson letter
Meanwhile BT employees getting a 16% pay rise.
Working for Royal Mail isn't going to be worth it on those terms, Thompson. Other businesses are coming to their senses and paying 10%+ pay rises.
Good luck employing tens of thousands of people on lower wages with terrible terms and conditions.

Nevermind as on the 9th of December a bag of money has been found to bus every member to Royal Mails HQ in London to take part in Chris Webbs Cecil B Demille demonstration masterpiece.

Why, there are plenty of jobs out there that will have better pay and conditions than ours?pieoftheday wrote: ↑28 Nov 2022, 19:35Unfortunately I dont think getting people to work for crap pay and conditions will be a problem,norris9 wrote: ↑28 Nov 2022, 19:30Meanwhile BT employees getting a 16% pay rise.

Quite right too. This is offensive from Thompson, yet again.

Re: Thompson letter
Simon knows it would only take a few concessions on their side for this to all be over. (We have made enough our side seeing as we started this as a no strings pay deal) He could end this today and we could all get on with delivering Christmas and delivery the changes the business needs. So why the silent treatment Simon?

Re: Thompson letter
The bottom of the first page still names our parent company as royal mail group Ltd and not international distribution services. Could that be an error indicating a fake document. I could be completely wrong of course.

Re: Thompson letter
Their deal is to make thousands of people compulsory redundant . How is that a deal and how could any union accept that .

Re: Thompson letter
Time to ramp up these strikes. Thompson is as bad at his job as Ward and Pullinger are at theirs.
Until Thompson decides to get realistic about his "best and final" offer of a massive real terms pay cut, I will provide him with a massive real terms effort cut. Less money buys less work done.
