Other couriers

Is it just me, or is any one else experiencing delays from other courier firms? I've two items being sent via Evri, they've been delayed since the 19th. One of them hasn't updated at all since the 19th, the other updated on the 23rd saying "Delay due to major event." I also have a Yodel item due, that hasn't changed status since 20th, that one says nothing, its just blank. Are these firms being overwhelmed with customers trying to avoid Royal Mail?

Same with mine a week ago. I chose EVRI over Royal mail deliberately, so I guess they popping their excess in our system.

The “we haven’t received it” claims will be going through the roof. One women on my delivery has put on In against Evri for just leaving her parcel on the doorstep.

Got told by a DPD and a DX driver that they aren’t allowed to leave parcels safe anymore unless you specifically tell them online. All the photos have to be taken with doors opens to prove the parcel was delivered. I imagine they were getting loads of no delivery claims too.

Evri, Yodel, APC and Amazon seem to have no problem leaving them on doorsteps though.

For at least the last 5 years, when Ervi(Hermes), Amazon, DpD etc get overwhelmed they put it through Royal Mail, especially the rural areas, they don’t have that option this year.

Been finding evri parcels lying all over the place. My delivery is all blocks of flats and they are just left at the bottom. Anyone could pick them up.

For at least the last 5 years, when Ervi(Hermes), Amazon, DpD etc get overwhelmed they put it through Royal Mail, especially the rural areas, they don’t have that option this year.

Hopefully our true value will be noticed. Perhaps even this theory that there's a courier ready and in a position take every customer, may be seen as less likely.

Other couriers are at full stretch for staff and storage, the same as RM this time of year. Unlike other years, they can not hide their excess in our system at the moment.

Found my parcel halfway down the garden path yesterday, can only guess that they had no time to walk to the front door, let alone ring the bell
