Further Tactics

Dave Ward has in a couple of recent videos said the union will be soon sharing with us further potential tactics we could use to mount more pressure on RM.

Anyone got any ideas of what it could be, or any ideas you think would work better whether in place of or on top of the already planned strike action?

For me I’m hoping someone has got their head around how to give proper notice for rolling strikes so that it’s above board.

This for me is our trump card given we are a network business; having one part of the workforce on strike effects everybody else on the same day.

So what could Dave’s idea be or do you have any of your own?

Don't trust them on the rolling strikes idea. andy furey i think it was has already said very hard to get them 100% correct. is'nt dw trying to get a meeting soon with major shareholders to get unions point across.

A work to rule would force some people to cross picket lines they are already struggling with 2 days pay loss so doubt much chance of that.

That’s to hard to enforce, we have a number of SA duties on rest days , people do them all year round, they are not going to take the hit on them as well as strike days , it also hits part timers harder which isn’t fair either. It’s the right move in principle but practically it’s to hard to enforce.

What about we all stand outside the gate and wave our hands in the air ?

If the strike's continue well into next year, still think an idea could be ie: Wednesday work from start time ie: 6:30 - 10:30, you would be only losing half a days pay and no time really for delivering. We could then do the same saturday.so two days finishing work at 10:30am, losing only 1 days pay. Without us being able to deliver all the tracks they still have the problem of getting them delivered.

A least a ban on full timers working their day off, 5 days is enough, it’s just greed
