Sheffield today 24th. Having a good strike day as usual and 4 ppl turn up from FBU. We chat and they wish us good luck etc. An hour later someone comes over from one of our other gates and says to picket line supervisor, FBU are here, she says I know I've spoken to them, I'm surprised they're still here. Guy says 'No they've come back, there's about 50 of them!' Wow! We go to the van exit gate and they're stopping vans with agency drivers going out and our picket supervisor speaks to them, some turn back, so much so managers come out and we have an altercation. So then a coach pulls up and the FBU guys say ok our coach is here we got to go so we all shake hands and wish each other solidarity etc. Lo and behold this coach is not empty! Another 50 FBU guys get off waving flags and banners etc and come and support us. Our protest became huge! They tell us they will be out in the new year and expect our support because we all got to stick together in the name of solidarity. Massive thank you to those guys and gals who supported us today and rest assured we got your backs too! Together we can do this!
