I don't understand....
So Royal Mail are....
1. Advertising and signing up people on lower pay and worse terms and conditions.
2. Signing workers up to be paid off redundancy money so they can bring in more of this cheap labour.
3. Did I also hear right that at some depots people have been let go without redundancy pay?
But Dave Ward keeps saying 'we can win this fight, we can't accept these changes'....
well....the changes are happening right in front of you. So what the heck does Dave even mean!?!? I don't understand.

If would be nice to know what "winning" actually looks like, DW now suggesting the pay offer is almost in the right ball park (not sure we all agree?), I'm sensing now if RM agree to no compulsory redundancies and tweak the offer slightly in our favour the CWU will suggest it should be accepted.norris9 wrote: ↑24 Nov 2022, 18:15So Royal Mail are....

Number 3 cannot be true unless was a fixed term contract not renewed
If you tolerate this, then your paid break will be next

Re: I don't understand....
You will be entitled to the three months notice contained within your contract of employment if Royal Mail are making you redundant, though they could make you work your notice period. That is if they have not alredy changed that for new starters ?freespeech wrote: ↑24 Nov 2022, 19:43.......or employed for less than two years. Think he said 9% was in the ballpark if it was no strings and backdated. May be wrong?TopperGas wrote: ↑24 Nov 2022, 18:30If would be nice to know what "winning" actually looks like, DW now suggesting the pay offer is almost in the right ball park (not sure we all agree?), I'm sensing now if RM agree to no compulsory redundancies and tweak the offer slightly in our favour the CWU will suggest it should be accepted.norris9 wrote: ↑24 Nov 2022, 18:15So Royal Mail are....
