When I registered this account, at he beginning of this dispute, it was never with the attention to post. The events of this day have compelled me to do so. I've worked for Royal Mail for 30yr now, from deliveries to processing to distribution. I've been part of many disputes. All out strikes, rolling strikes and walk outs. I've seen the ability to strike, become increasingly difficult, and more convoluted with each Tory government. I'm sure that for a lot of members, this is the first industrial action they've experienced. The ability to withdraw your labour has been beaten down to near non-existence, it's almost an alien process to so many now. For this reason, I truly believe this dispute is more than just a postal dispute. Its way bigger than us. All eyes are on us, the CWU, and the RMT. This government want us crushed. They can't afford us to rise. I feel like a conspiracy nut saying it, but I believe this CEO has one job, and that is to break this union. We, all 115,000 of us, are an incredibly threat. I feel like there's something changing in society, the word 'Union' is no longer met with disdain, people want us to win. We are hope. I keep seeing people say this is it for the CWU if they lose, I'm afraid I believe its worse than that. If we lose this, that's it for the union movement in this country. That's all hope gone.

I stand with every one of you.

Thank you. All of this.
Personally, I`m not doing this just for us, I`m doing it for other industries and workers in other disputes. This is a concerted effort by the most right wing govt we`ve ever had, to crush dissent EVERYWHERE and steamroller people into submission. The CWU and the RMT disputes are being watched closely. We cannot afford to lose.

Really that's your criticism is it, the use of the word lads, what is your problem, we're facing the biggest threat to our conditions of work ever and you're picking a fight because of the word lads, I stand with my brothers and sisters who are prepared to fight for what's right, I stand with my bothers and sisters who refuse to be bullied, the men and women who are prepared to become reps and spend their time unpaid!!! fighting for the rights of their colleagues, and I'll be standing proudly with the men and women on the picket line tomorrow, will you?

And I’m sure that if the females that have read it on here are insulted, then they will stick up for themselves. They don’t need men to do it for them-didn’t you know? Sick of people being insulted on others behalf.
