I don't know the answer, but I still can't get my head around RM risking their most profitable part of the year ... So, do you think the board will start to panic the nearer we get to Christmas, or do you think they are willing to risk one Christmas to win at all costs! They pulled back from the brink with Rico - do you think they'll do the same with Simon? I do wonder, like Putin and Ukraine, if RM thought we would get fed up and fearful, financially and mentally, and just roll over ...

Sadly I think it’s going to end badly for RM ,customers and employees. There isn’t going to be any winner in this game . If You keep your job when the dust settles you will still have lost plenty.

The time for an agreement was before tomorrows strike. Objectively speaking, I can see the employer did attempt to make concessions, but not enough to satisfy the Union. The biggest issues are:

1. There are still hugely unpopular strings attached to the pay deal.
2. The conditions attached would have the CWU sign up to an agreement, that greatly reduces their influence going forward.

So, from here on, it's going to get very messy. I expect that a lot of people will break the strike going forward, it seems to me like the CWU overplayed their hand. Time will tell.

It's the same people though. Coming in early, throwing out D2D's unpaid, not taking breaks and doing extended overtime with packets and loops. They are effectively crossing picket lines with this behaviour

I think their aim at present is to get as many people as possible to cross picket-lines this week and next. They’re trying to build on the fears of those on the edge, knowing that if enough members break, they’ll have free-rein to power through on their own terms.

If that fails, I think they’ll try and drive as many of the staff on old contracts out of the door.

Absolutely this has been calculated step by step since the profits got siphoned off in the summer. People will find some feeble excuse to cross the picket line, well f**k them going forward, forever black listed I can’t see staff morale recovering….good job all bravo

Strike + / Strike Plus

Announce in 2 weeks that all remaining days in December are strike days with the ones already announced being All Out and the remainder as Strike + days which allows members to potentially take more strike action and keep RM on the backfoot.

Or we could hold a gate meeting and raise our hands and take a lot of photos.

I think RM will plough ahead with more redundancy due to our strikes
RM will recover eventually with cheaper staff and that’s what the Market wants
Feel we needed to agree before tomorrow
