Why would the strikes be called off? Has Thompson suddenly agreed to our reasonable demands?

To call it off we will need a better deal than they are proposing at the moment and it MUST include Parcelforce and fleet .

If it's called off there is no legal or contractual time limit.

That's why I recommend going down to the picket line, not just to make a presence, but just in case there is a Damascus moment and they are called off.

In theory, a strike could be called off on the actual strike day, or even part-way through it.

The last I read Royal Mail was looking again at the Union's proposals. If a miracle was to happen and they agreed ( at least in principal with some aspects to be ironed out ) then I think it can be called off with just a few hours noticed but they would need to act fast to avert the next 48 hour stoppage .

Edit . Just reading the above post's it seems like the strike can be called off at anytime . OK, let's hope let for the best .

Kinda stating the obvious

It’s on until it’s off
If you tolerate this, then your paid break will be next

I wouldn't be going into work tomorrow if the strikes were called off.

If I'm losing 2 days money then I'm arranging something social to do with my spare time, fk those lot playing us like puppets.

Actually you have no choice. The clue is contract, as in contract of employment

Why do people think they can just do as they please?
