Dispute Update

RM have asked to have more time this morning to further consider our document.

They have also requested a smaller meeting 2 (Ricky & Stuart MacDonald) on 2 (Dave & Andy) from 2pm in Farringdon minus Acas (Marina the Chief Conciliator is busy today with a prior commitment).

We have obviously accepted this invitation.

Further developments will be reported

Call me cynical but this is all part of ST strategy stringing out this dispute, even if true

Now honestly believe he has a date set he has to cross before the next round of attacks. My opinion something to do with the share prIce and VESA

CWU hasn't, IT was posted on Workplace, and on Facebook by individuals.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Well if that's the case it's just a tactic to call the strikes off while they 'consider it'. There's no way ST will agree to any of our proposal!

A union rep, Andrew Sowter, has replied to questions on the post on workplace questioning it's accuracy saying it's legitimate...

I’ll be comming out the union if our strikes this week or next week are called off if something isn’t concrete and in writing and legally binding
I honestly think it’s just another one if thomsons games this nob needs to be out for me to ever trust or want to put a single effort in for this company again

With this union I wouldnt be surprised if they cancel this weeks strikes to “allow room for more constructive talks”

To be honest, I'm a bit cynical ... When I read the unions counter proposals, I thought there was no way RM would accept that! As for Thompson, apart from a short video at Daventry this morning, not a peep out of him all day!

The time is honestly over for considering anything. Unless there is a firm accepatble deal on the cards - those strikes have to go ahead.
