Xmas parcel sorting or scabbing?

hi,
would I be scabbing if I did the Xmas parcel sorting at a massive depot near me this year please?
I did it decades ago and enjoyed it so now I'm at the other end of my working life I have applied this year and got through various stages.
I just don't want to do anything that would make me a scab.
I have always joined the union wherever I've worked.
No idea if I can join the CWU for the 3 weeks or whatever, and, if not, whether I can refuse to cross a picket line, or should phone in sick on certain days or whatever.
Hope it's ok to ask? I did a search on this but couldn't find an answer.

Just my opinion. It's a posties fight. I would have no problem with someone who doesn't have a regular job making a bit money at Christmas. I have a massive problem with posties who are in the Union and going to work while the rest are striking to get better conditions for them. Parasites.

Your opinion entitled to it..but these people still cross a picket line. Just yday parents waiting yards from picket line in there fancy cars waiting on their precious kids finishing there shift as agency workers an casuals what hope for the future ffs.

I'm the original poster...
I've worked for over 30 years, always turn up on time, always work hard and to the best of my ability and go above and beyond by make suggestions where I can see better ways of doing stuff, things like that.
Employers have always got extremely good value for money from me.
Whenever there's been a union I've joined it and always been on strike when there was one.
I've never crossed a picket line.
My Xmas parcel sorting will start soon, I've decided to work on days when there's no strike, and on those days when there is a strike I won't go in.
If the powers that be decide that's not good enough then fair enough, they can get someone thirty years younger, pay them the same and get a much less productive worker.
