Hi as a delivery person in my senior years with 26 years service i read with interest the preference exercise posted on the people app .
I understand that we all have different sets of circumstances but from a individual point of view this would appeal to me .
I filled in the form and it suggested that I would be entitled to 39 weeks plus the 6000 pounds .
Iam a full time post person ,however I have been on long term sick with long covid .
MY question is would my 39 weeks be based on my full time wage or is it based on my current payment now that I have run out of my sick pay ?

Re: Preference exercise
Goes off your last year and if you’ve been sick your last year it’s a lot less payment

Re: Preference exercise
It's based on your rate of pay and nothing to do with sick etc.

Re: Preference exercise
I'm assuming a preference exercise is to see if you are interested in VR? We've had them many times in our office and always come to nothing. I think it's always just a fishing exercise to test the resolve of an office.21topbowler wrote: ↑18 Nov 2022, 11:46Hi as a delivery person in my senior years with 26 years service i read with interest the preference exercise posted on the people app .

If you want to be away, can you not explore IHR? That was 34 weeks untaxed wages and 12 taxed wages. Not sure if the company is still sticking to the agreement on IHR though.
