it's a result of RM preemptively hiring a ton of casuals and hiring vans for the casuals that can't drive EVs, ensuring that the all important tracked are finished as that's all they care about, and all they are counting. As the public and "customers" knew about the strikes weeks in advance, the volume of parcels on the actual strike days was lower, and the casuals were still there to clear up what we couldn't the days after.

Where's their graph of how much it actually cost them to do that... They won't show that, or it'll kill the "strikes and sickness cost us money" narrative

One day strikes have always been pretty poor at causing RM problems. It's just too easy to recover from it.

Need to go out for longer periods, 2, 3, 4 days at a time or management will continue to laugh at us!

And thanks must also go to the CWU for setting strike days then calling them off due to a legal challenge by Royal Mail, what a joke!

As can be seen from another thread, Dave Ward is on £140,000 ish a year, inc pension and he and his legal team asked us to go on strike without making the case for the strikes absolutely water tight ie the CWU top brass and their useless legal team have failed us massively. How stupid and amateurish did that look to Thompson and co, who then took advantage, and as for Dave Ward on his overpaid £140k, well in my opinion he's just another labour supporting champagne socialist. An absolute joke of a salary for such an amateur.....

I am living in a single wage household and have had to work hard to keep a roof over my familys head due to the rising cost of living,strikes and falling earnings.
I never crossed a picket line but if I have to work my day off or six days a week to look after my family so be it
