How/Why can you talk for 7 days. This is what we want, this is what you want, let's sort it , it shouldn't take 7 days

Re: WTF is going on
I could have agreed it by now....
9% pay rise
Sunday working, but will be ~1 in every 4 weeks.
5 Day mail service Mon-Fri.
Saturday and Sunday become parcel only delivery days.
Due to going down to a 5 day mail service, but working Sundays....we'd still need to 'lose' some staff. (These have probably already left - seeing as we aren't recruiting new staff whilst people are leaving).
Royal Mail get their Sunday working and have less staff to pay. We get our pay rise without a ridiculous amount of change that would have probably led us all to leaving the company sooner rather than later.

they are planning to use more owner drivers and go on a seven day week ,
They also plan to utilize the network to a one parcel strategy meaning royal mail parcels will be able to go to Parcelforce and of course owner drivers ,
this is letting owner drivers to take royal mail work via Parcelforce ,
Letters about this were given to Parcelforce drivers last week ,
If this goes ahead there will be massive job losses within royal mail as lots of there work will end up with owner drivers in Parcelforce .
The cwu said they will fight this but at the moment it all seems to be going ahead .

Re: WTF is going on
Think you'll find that'll be a better deal than the CWU agree to, so maybe they should be on the negotiation team. ?Acca Dacca wrote: ↑15 Nov 2022, 13:29Said it before and will say it againnorris9 wrote: ↑15 Nov 2022, 12:51I could have agreed it by now....
