Strikes in December mean no Xmas bonus?
A manager in our office has told us if we strike in December it will result in no Xmas bonus being paid. Has anyone else been told this or is it bull****?

Straight from ST as I understand it.
No strikes in December = no job for thousands after Christmas!
And that's definitely not a bonus!

Your manager is wrong, you only lose 3% of your bonus for every strike day in DecemberRevolutionary1 wrote: ↑12 Nov 2022, 15:04A manager in our office has told us if we strike in December it will result in no Xmas bonus being paid. Has anyone else been told this or is it bull****?

They deduct an amount from the bonus if you strike, can't remember what it is but something like 5% per day of striking, it cropped up on here a few weeks ago when Simon previously made the same comment/threat.
Edit... I see it's 3% thanks p13

Re: Strikes in December mean no Xmas bonus?
There are 2 £100 Christmas Bonus payments one of which is not abated for industrial action.
The Ex IWM £100 bonus is abates but 3% for each day of official industrial action counted as midnight to midnight excluding bank holidays.
The £100 which was the resolution to the Colleague Share issue is not abated for industrial action.

Christmas comes but once a year for whatever we lose as a bonus I would gladly have a percentage pay increase instead dependent on the terms and conditions!

We will still get the £100 historic bungled share issue payment.
The other actual xmas bonus of £100 would be all that could be taken away.

Re: Strikes in December mean no Xmas bonus?
Yes ,we've heard the same thing in our MC . No Christmas stamps , No Christmas bonus and casuals given overtime before full time staff . Also PT staff will not be temporally made up to FT over the Christmas pressure period . However I think this has backfired because it's only made people more angry and determined to take further industrial action if required .Revolutionary1 wrote: ↑12 Nov 2022, 15:04A manager in our office has told us if we strike in December it will result in no Xmas bonus being paid. And the stamps.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.
