Sicknote ending and rest week starting

Post by Rosered »

So I had an operation and was signed off work for 4 weeks, then 2 weeks light duties. The week after my 4 weeks off is up I have my rest week. Do I stay off that week, then resume 2 weeks of light duties or do I go in on my rest week as technically I haven't 'earned' the week off? Anyone know? Cheers.

If you’re still on the same duty (double check) then it would be your rest week, so I’d just go in the week after.

They might have changed your duty all together

Interesting question.
I would be inclined to take your rest week and then take 1 week light duties.
Your normal duty would be covered regardless.

How about phoning your book room and ask if you are scheduled to return rather than risk unauthorised absence?

Book room? Which posh office do you work in?
