Unpaid Absence
Anyone else going to be taking an apparent double hit in the pocket on Friday? Just checked this week’s payslip online; where in previous strike weeks it’s showed ‘Arrears of Unpaid Absence’ only, it now also shows ‘Unpaid Absence’: two days pay docked for one day of industrial action…

Tuesday is the cut-off day. So you've been deducted for today and arrears for last Thursday.

Today is the cut off day for deductions or OT for last week which would have appeared in this week's wages. If we are on strike today then that comes out off next week's wage and they would have until next Tuesday to deduct that. Royal Mail are definitely at their lark!!!

yeh same here £105 arrears unpaid which would have been last weeks strike thursday and £87 unpaid leave which would have been yesterdays strike tuesday but shouldnt have that been taken out of next weeks pay and show on next weeks pay slip and not this weeks ?

We are not paid in arrears, if you strike tuesday and your manager is on the ball, if he input it on the system by midday tuesday it is deducted this week, Not wanting to defend RM but they have done nothing wrong doing that.
