We stopped a Parcelforce guy delivering to our office on our picket line today saying how he's crossing a line and he says yes I feel bad but I don't care I don't want to strike.After reading other posts Have the union lost Parcelforce?

My usual parcelforce guy was delivering round my way today too, were they supposed to be striking too? If so I couldn’t believe it because when this started he was giving it the big un that he’s had enough and was ready to strike..

The Union never had Parcelfarce.. Im 33 years in and transfered to Parcelforce for 5 years. In those 5 years before i transfered back into RM it was like working at a renegade dept of RM no union presence. Parcelforce now if Thompson gets his way is how RM in the future would be. Workers starting early working past there finish time week in week out for years.. Oh wait some Postmen do that now. Its about time each and every postmen/women, Parcelforce driver wakes up and understands the good ole days are long gone. Start on time take your breaks and walk out tht door at your finishing time. Then theres nothing management wherever that is can do,they wont like it but in these days who gives a f. Working for free ie starting earlier taking no breaks blows my mind. As i said at the start the union never had Parcelforce and it never will due to the sole fact agency train agency and bad habits become the norm. Rant over.

I heard that some of the parcelforce staff are owner drivers so it might be different mind set for them as basically self employed.

Parcelforce workers sound like they can be used and abused by their management at will.

It's what happens when all workers do at rogue companies like Parcelforce, is roll over for their tummies to be tickled by their abusive management.

Correct , the only way to tell is if they have got a full Parcelforce uniform on and not just an hi viz ,
a lot of drivers at our depot at the moment are owner drivers or agency drivers
20+ agency drivers on strike days plus managers out in vans .

Royal Mail tried getting rid of it back in 2019 with Rico.

More likely they will keep Parcelforce and merge royal mail parcels into the Parcelforce system then employ yet more owner drivers and less posties .
Do not forget the idiot in charge says we are now a parcel company .

Can I ask why we have taken and continue to take Parcel Force items from TVs to Fridges(in Penistone that happened and took up most of van), to Microwaves and many more that constitute Parcel Force items(return item even have Parcel Force on them). I even took a back axle of a car.That in its self will cost us a whole but Royal Mail are 'supposedly' making a loss but taking their items. Then the reverse of taking a mass item while next-door a Parcel Force driver posted a thin item through the door? What's that all about- one item straight through and me carrying ridiculous weight and taking an age waiting for the customer. There's a serious issue there.
