Massive exodus from delivery

Post by roadrunner bill »

How very sad... these times are... everyone is leaving delivery..

So many offices without staffing levels...

No one wants to work at royal mail.... new entrants doing no more than a month.. then leaving...

Mail building up... packets.. tracked... not being delivered on time..

So when this insane uso reform is forced in... or coerced in..
Without the unions recognition and agreement...

I'm not being pessimistic here.. but what's happening is just insane......

It's madness

Ours was fully replenished last summer - closest we've come to a consistently clear office in years. And then most of them left before reaching one year in the job.

The ODM is about reducing service levels to match staffing levels because they cannot/will not pay out the kind of money to attract and keep 30,000 people to restore the QoS of 2019.
Any Questions?
Yeah, how do I get out of this chickenshit outfit?

No surprise, after 6 months on delivery they realise the contract they signed is garbage compared to legacy staff for doing identical job and in some case driving the ‘non driver legacy contract person’ because they refuse to drive a van.

“because they refuse to drive a van” - some don’t drive (like me) because they’ve never learned

Fair enough. But equally, some do. One of our “non-drivers” pulls up in his licensed Hackney Carriage every day, which he insists on parking in the yard when everyone starts going out on delivery, but yet needs a new-entrant chauffeur for his RM work (while keeping the driver’s loops for his good self!)
