It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: The Future Of The USO
Answer me a question please
So the pilot offices clearly needs tweaking still so I'm guessing manageable workloads. When these trial offices are "ironed out" and we have 30+ pilot offices working better than they are now then how will the rest of the 100+ offices mirror this? For example they have been earmarking 8 duties to return in our office (the lapsing duties) so how will we know if that is enough when our office starts the USO reform when our office won't get a trial run?

Extrapolation. If restoring N number of walks into the pilot offices totally fixes things, then they'll presumably restore N duties proportional to the size of your office and everyone's office. Practically, though, they have much more granular data with which to make decisions. It's just that budgets tends to have a larger influence on decisions.hewittinspain wrote: ↑23 Jun 2025, 19:47Answer me a question please

Every reconciliation has ended the same way. Why would this time be any different?

This will be rolled out everywhere By September regardless of pilot office results. Christmas will b a horror show of sick leave and rolled over duties and revisions and attempted resigns. no doubt Sean from processing will tell us the cwu have it in hand but as individual units we will have to stick together

Or RM will simply state "after the roll out of the OFCOM approved ODM updates earlier in the year we're are surprised at the volume of mail now received during the lead up to Christmas, which is leading to delays in post being delivered"heraldmoth wrote: ↑24 Jun 2025, 07:42This will be rolled out everywhere By September regardless of pilot office results.
