We need over 10% if they’re taking away our weekly delivery payment

Re: Pay rise
Hasn't it already been mentioned that the Delivery Supplement (if that's what you're referring to) could be absorbed into basic pay, making it pensionable. So technically it's not being taken away, however it will be dressed up as part of a pay rise.Valentina@1 wrote: ↑18 Mar 2025, 09:55We need over 10% if they’re taking away our weekly delivery payment

Re: Pay rise
It kinda results in a better pay rise for anyone who isn't in deliveries, if the supplement is going to be incorporated into everyone's pay, otherwise you'll have different functions on different basic pay ratesyellowbelly wrote: ↑18 Mar 2025, 10:32Hasn't it already been mentioned that the Delivery Supplement (if that's what you're referring to) could be absorbed into basic pay, making it pensionable. Re: Pay rise
Don't imagine for a minute you'll be getting a rise in the form of the delivery supplement, you'll probably find that the supplement incorporated is appropriate to the job performed so yes different functions would have different pay rates, it's completely normal and usual elsewhere for example a Sainsbury's shopping delivery driver is on a higher rate than a general assistant shelf stacker/till operator.SpacePhoenix wrote: ↑18 Mar 2025, 11:50It kinda results in a better pay rise for anyone who isn't in deliveries, if the supplement is going to be incorporated into everyone's pay, otherwise you'll have different functions on different basic pay ratesyellowbelly wrote: ↑18 Mar 2025, 10:32Hasn't it already been mentioned that the Delivery Supplement (if that's what you're referring to) could be absorbed into basic pay, making it pensionable. Re: Pay rise
You said it Ted. It's bizarre that RM pay supplements for being a "machine ops" at the MCs when you can learn it with less than 20 minutes training, they should be on £12.54 an hour.ted_e_bear wrote: ↑18 Mar 2025, 12:28Don't imagine for a minute you'll be getting a rise in the form of the delivery supplement, you'll probably find that the supplement incorporated is appropriate to the job performed so yes different functions would have different pay rates, it's completely normal and usual elsewhere for example a Sainsbury's shopping delivery driver is on a higher rate than a general assistant shelf stacker/till operator.SpacePhoenix wrote: ↑18 Mar 2025, 11:50It kinda results in a better pay rise for anyone who isn't in deliveries, if the supplement is going to be incorporated into everyone's pay, otherwise you'll have different functions on different basic pay ratesyellowbelly wrote: ↑18 Mar 2025, 10:32Hasn't it already been mentioned that the Delivery Supplement (if that's what you're referring to) could be absorbed into basic pay, making it pensionable. Learning delivery is like doing a full shift on processing, then a 5 or 6 hour delivery span tacked on after, every day.

Re: Pay rise
You're deluded if you think that anyone can learn a machine in 20 mins. The short course is 1 day. It's not just put the mail on here, take the mail off from here.Londonsburning wrote: ↑18 Mar 2025, 17:54You said it Ted. MC staff do way more heavy lifting than what delivery staff do.
