USO...lies.

Post by daveyeff »

Well, the union got us downstairs this morning, rep says..."dont shoot the messanger" its to update us on the rumours circulating on social media....the RM board are in serious talks with our leaders at this very time...RM say that come October they are scrapping the USO regardless of what the government/parliament says because if it does not happen they will RUN OUT OF MONEY by then...there is no option...no other alternative...it HAS to happen...all days off and Sunday working will cease until its all confirmed. ....it wasnt the reps fault he was telling us what he had been told to tell us....as usual it got the response it desrved....total crap....but it shows they are just going to do what they want anyway.....the regulator ofcom are toothless.

Exactly where the privatisation of the company was always going to end up.

They’ve stripped it completely.

I personally would love mon-fri it would probably mean 20,000 jobs to go but im pretty sure they would get the volunteers with a redundancy package theres at least 20 in our office want to go

I never understood why Royal Mail didn’t dangle that carrot to us during the dispute. You would have avoided much of the industrial action and working later would have been more palatable if the job was Monday to Friday.

If this is true though it seems Thompson with his super hubs and electric vans as well as giving all delivery managers an £8k a year pay rise seems like a huge mistake.

It's one thing to take on a union, it's another to take on the government, parliament and the public .. Should the government say no again, I really do wonder if royal mail have got the balls to take on the latter ... Wonder what the penalty would be for scrapping the USO without permission..

im at the point now where i accept why wouldnt Royal Mail do what they want, as nobody will hold them to account. Anyone with a passing interest in this saga knows they are corrupt as hell, its just an extension of the state of the country and Tory rule

Out of the money they would save by paying 20,000 people off. They wouldnt have to pay 20 thousand peoples wages each week, then employ any new starters on lesser money and T&Cs....but as the title of this post suggests...they ARE liars. They wont be running out of money. Its a smoke screen to get what they want....done exactly the same to the CWU.
