Annual leave whilst off sick

I’ve just heard off a colleague that any leave you have booked whilst on long term sick is not given back, from August onwards, as part of the new agreement. I’ve tried to find it but I can’t. Can anybody confirm or deny this?

Nothing would surprise me with this joke of an agreement, Royal Mail are doing as they please.

Illegal, can't be done. You can't be on annual leave and sick leave at the same time.

It would be illegal.

Rumours start all over the place when any new arrangement / agreements are put in place but in this case RM / CWU could never trump law in any company policy.

You can be on the sick and take leaveat the same time ACAS -sick pay royal mail allowed me to have it

Acas.org.uk/checking I was allowed all of the previous years allowance also paid in weeks because of tax my manager phoned HR and they said yes to it.he said he was shocked because he always got told it's a big no

A colleague at our office who was coming to a end of 2 months off came in with another 4 week sick note and informed the DOM he was going abroad on holiday the following week for two weeks. The Dom was livid and tried to cancel sick pay but nothing happened, the guy went on his jollies got full sick pay and got his two weeks leave back !
Apparently this is because the leave was booked before he went off otherwise the outcome might of been different.
