WIN THE BALLOT WIN THE DISPUTE was another Slogan! I hate slogans!

I'm not surprised it was a yes vote as soon as it was recommended. My red line was the changes to the sick pay but it's done now and we have to live with it.

I will never vote to strike again. Totally pointless waste of time and probably did quite a lot of damage to the company. A company we were told had loads of money and could afford to give us a no strings pay rise.

Well..

75% yes to crippling workloads, all for less than a grand. Crap 65% turn out, should have been 100% whether we like the job or not. Know our hands or noose may be tied tighter now, no way the CWU will get the company to change anything now. Get the 2 years redundancy on the table before anything else happens. Watch the pressure go through the roof now, you agreed to it happening.

It was an empty slogan. Meaningless waffle.
I said back then that it was doomed to fail. Everything about what the CWU did was poorly executed.

It also diminishes the last big agreement as all of that seems ripped up now.

I’m not part of the union so don’t have any loyalty to them but I think loyalty has blinded a lot of its members. The empty slogans and flags that they waved whilst standing on the street in pointless one day strikes when Mr Ward seemed more interested in his personal spat with Mr Thompson and then claimed great victory with the committee meeting where ST was grilled.

ST got pretty much what he wanted. He barely budged. The CWU will claim he did budge but it was more a shuffle. Putting us in position for the next CEO (puppet) to make his move.

10% no strings attached.
Win the ballot win the dispute.
Solidarity.

All means nothing. Especially when 97% actually voted for strike action which the union ignored.

They need to hire a decent legal team for starters. Everything they have done in this dispute has come across amateurish.

The high fives after agreeing this sell out deal was just pitiful.

Both CWU and RM now have a work force that is disillusioned and unmotivated. And both are to blame.

It can be fixed, maybe, but I’m not sure the CWU will ever have the clout they had in the workplace like they have in yesteryears.

I think the worse thing of all was not reminding the membership that taking strike action would allow r.mail to rip up past agreements,i mean did they forget about it,we were beat before we started in this dispute i dont think simon was a grest opponent more so that our leadership were rotten and amateurish

We originally simply wanted a payrise because we had recently signed an agreement for change.

What then happened was Royal Mail attacked our terms and conditions, tore up the existing agreement as well as every other agreement they could find in the agreement drawer.

This forced us into a second ballot to try to stop the worst of the attacks.

Once there were two ballots running there was no chance of a no strings pay deal.

The end.

This deal that's been accepted has more strings than Pinocchio. Unfortunately it's hard to fight a war on two fronts and when the CWU started pushing this crap deal it looks like people just lost the will to fight!

Open season on the workforce now. The bosses know we are a doggie with no bite!
Union what Union? Do we have a union?

Get ready for the attack on all “older” contracts, apparently they get an extra 6 hours work for free per employee on the new contract (no paid breaks etc)
