''Expanding the role of Postal Workers''
On the pamphlet of reasons to vote Yes that came with the ballot paper there is a section titled 'Expanding the role of postal workers'
It states;
''We will use the agreement to expand the role of postal workers and grow the company - for the first time ever the company have properly bought into this CWU led strategy''
We have heard Dave Ward say this before and as far as I am aware he has been short on the details despite saying he would elaborate in due course.
If we are to have our roles 'expanded' and if we are to believe RM have bought into this expansion of our job ,should we not be given the details of what this involves exactly?

If you tolerate this, then your paid break will be next

We will serve hot beverages out the back of our rusty combos and respond to emergencies in the local area armed with our trusty pda.

Was told trials were run somewhere, where we check in on old and vulnerable people and ask them a series of questions (5 I believe) to make sure they are ok. It helps to reduce the burden on the state to provide proper social care for those that might need it. A ridiculous idea imo.

there is no way some of the guys in my office should ever be let loose on the general public beyond handing over a parcel or putting a bit of paper through their door. Dave Ward is a full scale lunatic.

A bit of training and we could conduct home eye tests for the elderly if they find it hard to leave their homes

They can’t run a union but maybe they can post a single sentence on a forum without an embarrassing spelling mistake. You had an opportunity and you waisted it!steve2zaf wrote: ↑23 Jun 2023, 20:26They can't run a bath - maybe something to do with their huge waste lines.claystones wrote: ↑23 Jun 2023, 20:22think we do enough already let ward and fury do it they cant run a union![]()

Ahh, I get it now. We'll be going back to our Delivery offices, Mail Centres and Rdc's to check on ourselves and our ageing workforce.cubanpete wrote: ↑23 Jun 2023, 19:21Was told trials were run somewhere, where we check in on old and vulnerable people and ask them a series of questions (5 I believe) to make sure they are ok.
