The wait is over!!!!!
The loooong wait is over and for what??? this!!! absolutely dissaponted!
OMG quite unbelievable!
Its a no vote from me!
over 3 years we have had or will have had a cumulative 25% (conservative estimate) increase in inflation and to counter that a 10% 3 year pay deal!
nowhere even near the rate of inflation - averages a mere 3.33% a year- crazy.
I get its been tough and all that and they did the cwu did the best they could.
But its not just the headline the devil is in the detail, sick absence procedure and not just the fact you get no pay for at periods when on sick.
The standard is if you are unlucky and have a bout of sickness this agreement leads to a quick path of dismissal.
Accelerated trigger points in the absence process and when on an AR1 or 2 you have to go 12 months to come off the procedure rather than the current period of 6 months.
And not only that but all these attendance procedures are triggered and considered and the decision is made at the welcome back meetings rather than having a WB and then AR meeting subsequently .
This is a piss poor agreement.
And to recall terry pulingers words I am with him "I’d rather smash it to bits than hand it over to them, to stuff their mouths with gold and make your lives a misery.” which is exactly what this deal does a massive sellout all handed to them on a platter and made our lives a misery with this agreement,
VOTE NO!

They've already started the 12 month period for sick. I got a letter stating it.

99.9% of comments on all these agreement threads say vote no. But it will be mysteriously voted in. Either the voting is rigged or people won’t put their money where their mouth is. Seen it all before.

How many people actually post or look at this site? Id be surprised if it was more than 5% of Royal Mail employees. Its likely that those of us on here are far more engaged with the details of the dispute and now this agreement.arsenalbob wrote: ↑22 Apr 2023, 12:2899.9% of comments on all these agreement threads say vote no. In my office all im hearing is “best we’ll get” and “just want it to be over” type comments. In a way i do understand that mentality, but surely if we aren't happy then we should show that by voting no?

Not entirely happy myself but cannot see how voting no will bring about any improvement to agreement.mjd24 wrote: ↑22 Apr 2023, 13:05How many people actually post or look at this site? Hostile Tory Government, 17.2 inflation in the supermarkets, rising interest rates, petrol and energy hikes, unemployment rising.
It's a very bad time to strike again. Read the Room ? Read the Facts more like.
Settle, vote Yes and live to fight another day. There ain't nothing else going to be on the table.
Don't humiliate our own union.
Solidarity with the CWU.
