Re: This shows we've been played
The original deal was super-awful. The fact that management clung to it after months of devastating strikes shows they were really in love with it. The damage done to the business has been incredible.
I'm not saying vote Yes. But it could've been a lot worse.

Shafted good and proper. Later start/finish times 430pm. No reversal on the crackpot revisions. Nowt said about the daily USO failure. DPR duties to go away from the D/O budget - what, to Parcel force, who have a % of owner drivers. Bit quiet on the attendance and sickness changes. Is it 10% over 3 years ? with a dismal £500. The CWU have fallen for the sob stories and I'm voting NO. (and probably coming out of the union)

The Silent Majority of postal workers will vote yes to the deal.
Turkeys don't vote for an early Christmas.
A few militant Johnny come latelys on the board won't change that.

That's just knee jerk reactions to getting your hopes built up too much.77SAMPOST77 wrote: ↑21 Apr 2023, 20:25The vote poll on another thread currently shows a 78% no vote .
But reality will kick in when the ballot papers come out and the majority will vote yes, of that I am sure, they have no other practical choice given all the circumstances.
Their families, wives, husbands and kids will knock some sense into them and give them a reality check.
A yes vote is survival with an opportunity to thrive in the future.
A no vote is destruction and no future.

It is a terrible deal and anybody with any self respect will vote no to it .

Thrive in the future ? We'll all be too bloody knackered to celebrate anything. Get these duties to a workable level, and we'll go from there. That's almost as important as the £ in my case. 30 years and sick to death of this continual pressure, thought the union would save us
