Rumours of massive backtracking in the deal

Post by banner18 »

I’m hearing from various sources that RM have made some major concessions and other top bosses aren’t happy.

Anyone heard the same?

Nobody knows, just wait to see the deal of the century! Not long now.

Ps I can't see it being any good in all honesty.

Someone has posted this on one of the RM Facebook groups. Probably more mischief making, but with this shower, who knows?
“Shorts,in this weather?!”

“If they’re bills I don’t want ‘em!”

“What’s she been ordering now?”

Some senior reps will have seen it I’m sure.

It’s just rumours but heard it from two separate sources. Probably bullshit.

I’ve heard we’re getting 15% backdated.

Do t listen to rumours they just sow confusion and add to stress when turning out not to be true.

Wait till the agreement has been published, which as far as I’m concerned should already be out in the wind instead of waiting for some waste of money union knees up. At least we know where our subs are going.

Dont think there would be any need for a national briefing if they were backtracking i think the briefing is to prepare us for a terrible deal to discuss our options

Not sure what's taking so long for the union and postal executive to put the deal to the membership and let us decide. All I will say is don't be fooled by the money aspect as the terms on which we base our working lives matter more, particularly the family friendly offering which needs to be iron clad so that local management cannot decline it without giving it proper consideration.

If it was 15% back dated we'd already have had a vote instead of being treated like mushrooms.

It’s possible that there’s some backtracking and it’s still a terrible deal, there was a lot RM wanted from us in terms of change.

Apparently there is a pre briefing:

CWU Scotland Division.

Morning folks, clearly a lot of interest in the negotiators agreement and questions being asked. Nowt wrong with that and after a sustained period of disagreement with RMG, all want to know its content. The senior field officials are in Bristol today pre the National Briefing to hear, discuss & debate the content of said negotiators agreement. Hopefully in the next few hours it will be released for all to see & read. Again hopefully if this is the case, the briefings today & tomorrow will help us understand what’s been written into the proposed (would still need ratified by the membership) agreement and how it will need to be moved forward. Anything than can be shared will be shared from today & tomorrow. Cheers

Do not accuse me of speaking crap if you do not know what you’re talking about.
