No. 096/23

18th April 2023

Dear Colleagues,

Royal Mail Group: National Briefing – Friday 21st April

A National Briefing will be held on Friday 21st April 2023 to provide Branches with an update in regard to our negotiations with Royal Mail Group and next steps.

The Briefing will commence at 11:00 and conclude no later than 15:00 at:

The Dolman Hall
Ashton Gate Stadium
Ashton Rd
Bristol
BS3 2EJ

Tea and coffee will be available from 10.30.

All Branches are requested to make this a priority engagement and attendance arrangements should be in accordance with normal protocols for National Briefings whilst ensuring the importance of our proportionality requirements.

Attached is a brief paper to illustrate the bus services that go near to the Stadium as well as the nearest railway station. Branches should also note that Central Bristol has a clean air zone and the link below provides details of the applicable charges:

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

nearly a week to publish the proposed deal, not a clue why the need to spend £1000s on hospitality rooms just to confirm to go ahead!

makes you wonder if they have since found flaws in it and need to discuss them further, be funny if the enemy went ahead anyway and posted the details

Sounds very bizarre indeed. Or maybe they want to just sugar coat it and try to convince everyone it's an acceptable deal. Or maybe they are just feeling really sociable
