CWU : pivotal day in negotiations-We will update you fully within the next 24 hours.

Post by richietns »

Today is the pivotal day in negotiations with Royal Mail Group.
A number of issues remain outstanding and we are seeking to resolve them.
It is important that CWU members do exactly what you have done for the last year - ignore the noise and positioning from management and continue to stand ready to back your union.
If we can reach an agreement, it will then be considered by our Postal Executive and ultimately be subject to a full membership ballot. We don’t need lessons on democracy from an employer that has relentlessly and deliberately chosen imposition over agreement.
We will update you fully within the next 24 hours. We came into this dispute together. We will come out of it together.

We will come out of it together - except those that have already left voluntarily or been sacked.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Genuine question how many more pivotal days can we have in this dispute?

Or those who have 1 foot out the door (hopefully soon God willing)

Managers were going round reading the proposal out today and trying to get us to pressure the union to put it to a vote

I find it quite funny that all of a sudden on yesterday’s video that Royal Mail need an agreement. Well they need to do better than what they are proposing.

I think this really is the end, we will get some closure I think this time, don't think it will be good news though tbh.

Well I’m voting No , if there’s no improvement to what Royal Mail are offering.

That isn't even on the table is it? We have just had VR's go, I don't think any pay offs will be forthcoming sadly.

All managers on the floor today telling us how good the deal was & how the union has shafted us & sick pay would only affect a small few, then left us a print out on all our fittings on our return "Summary of the proposed agreement with CWU" big no from me :thumbdown
