DOING THE JOB PROPERLY

Post by k979aaa »

We on here have had some asking why the union is not doing this or that but you all everyone of you can do this this is not illegal nor will it be anyway need a ballot and is not industrial action nor can you be sanctioned for doing this here are the rules.
1 Start on time do not come in and work before your start time.
2 If you feel due to the nature of the workload that is left by the failure of management tell them you cannot complete
3 Take your meal relife/break before you go out.
4 Tell them if you think you cannot complete at the earliest possibility ie before you go out but traffic or other factors may affect this but do it!
5 Be back on time ie you need time to unload park the van hand keys in scan out be out of the building on time.
At the end of the day it is your life play the game that they have on the table it's not your fault they have made a hard job impossible all the best to you all!

Whilst I and many will no doubt agree ,you're wasting your time with many.they either dont understand how not doing as you say fxxks up the job, no matter how many times you tell them or they just arnt interested. And I do think if we all did the job correctly including trollies management would still be looking to cut and keep cutting hours.i mean, I bet there arnt many if any in processing cutting corners and its happening there too, happy to be corrected if people are?

It's a right s**t show with the yorks of large that come in from other MCs. A right mix of large and small, Tracked and non-Tracked and it's near enough a dead cert that you'll get at least a couple of yorks with SDs on them as well. We sort normal large and Tracked large together, don't think it'll end up being too long before they have us doing the same for normal smalls and Tracked smalls

Someone said about a work to rule you don't need a ballot to do that but a personal resolution. It is you to make that choice of just doing the job properly and it is you who needs to finish on time and you alone who of your own free will to do any more or not!

Dispatch times are at the end of the shift so if the mail isn't ready by then it fails. You might get the odd time but no one skips breaks. At most if anyone starts early is no more than a few mins

I've always done the job properly, start on time breaks and finish on time.

The only thing I don't do all the time is use a lwt but sometimes I have no choice!

I've not booked ot for at least 20yrs! Everyone knows how I work and it's very straightforward!

Unfortunately in practice it would require a ballot because if loads start doing it, RM could construe it to be unofficial industrial action

I've noticed a lot more people taking their breaks now that never used to.

Royal Mail have shot themselves in the foot, posties have downed tools.....but can down tools a lot more.

They could try and construe it all they want
Individual choice
Prove otherwise
