ROYAL MAIL GROUP NATIONAL DISPUTES – IMPORTANT MESSAGE TO ALL CWU MEMBERS

We are asking that all Branches and Reps get members together tomorrow for gate meetings to read and hand out the attached important message to all CWU members. There will also be a Facebook live session tomorrow, the time of this will be advertised in due course.

We have called emergency gate meetings tomorrow outside every Royal Mail Group workplace in the UK.
Please can local reps read this letter out to members at the meeting.

Dave Ward said last week, there will be a new pay offer made this week, the panic I read in this doesn't fill me with confidence that our action is making the slightest bit of difference.

With so little notice how an earth do HQ expect local reps to call an emergency gate meeting, obviously RM arn't going to allow it on the premises and, or in work time so not going to happen, do they really expect local reps to contact all members tonight and ask they attend outside work 30 mins early tomorrow to have a letter read out to them, It's not rocket science we go to work, rep prints out the letter and hands it out to members at our frames

A rallying call is what is required.
The Union need local reps to keep the troops going.

I know this dispute is difficult but I think some people should familiarise themselves with what a war of attrition is and what is involved.

That message/letter doesn't really tell us anything new....

Thompson doesn't want to do a deal....he would have offered 4/5/6% by now and a compromise on changes.....he hasn't - he's not interested....

he wants to replace us all with minimum wage owner van drivers. I am not sure on the size of workforce he wants as his end goal..... but if he needs tens of thousands of us....he's going to struggle employing that many people to do minimum wage slave labour.


We just carry on striking until Thompson resigns or is sacked.

The only circumstance in which ST leaves is it if the company gets bought out by VESA and they reshuffle everyone at the top

Otherwise I think he is doing precisely what the board want of him, so don't see how people calling for him to leave makes any sense.
