The Indulgences of Royal Mail
Not content in awarding themselves big bonuses and above inflation pay rises those at the top also have given share holders over £400 Million in dividends also has took on 10,000 agency workers and hired 1000's of vans in the summer unheard of ever. And spent hundreds of millions of £ on thousands electric vans not cheep and uniform with a new design all this is not cheep and has to be accounted for and this is why we are losing £1 million pounds a day. This is because they are Indulgent and profligate with the profit from lockdown of covid-19 this is not some quick back of a fag packet calculation they did spend it all at once and forgot who earned the profit for them intentionally. Hence my title of indulgence as that is what it is and they expect us to repent and pay for their own indulgences well about 500 years ago was a man called Martin Luther he rebelled against the church his employer he was a priest over these indulgences of his employer who was neglecting his area so they could build a big church in Rome. Cut a long story short he took the church on was excommunicated death sentence but had people who protected him followed him used the first printing press made the bible in german and set up his own faith. Where does this relate to us you may ask Well we do have indulgence and profligate extravagance greed at the top and they expect us to repent for our sins while they sit in their ivory towers which we paid for by work not indulgence and ignorance time has now come for the 95 Strikes not 95 theses this will take sometime but it could be done we should not be paying for the sins of others!

The management are inept. How do you go from a £760million profit to a £350million+ loss within a year.
They are out of their depth.

Re: The Indulgences of Royal Mail
May I add that not all people who owned business were bad some in the 1850's actually enrolled people into a pension scheme and you had cooperative worker schemes and looked after workers, Gave the houses schools and Doctors surgeries not here to dismiss all that that was a kind of generosity if that makes sense. But we have a concerted attack on workers rights at this time like no other in the last 50 years or so all because of profit now profit is not inherently evil because some times tax is taken for that profit for public services. We are now at the stage where people and money can travel vast distances without checks nor taxation while robbing those who work for a living this will not end well for most people in our nation. This is the kind of new fashioned Indulgences that we face today we are being used for our labour with false hopes of pensions health care and social care and your own pension fund. Those who profit from your work are the scum of the earth some are hackers but most are CEO'S Directors and Politicians and those who do their bidding!

English is a nice language. (Not as nice as French obviously)k979aaa wrote: ↑15 Oct 2022, 16:59May I add that not all people who owned a business were bad.

It appears to be wasted on the inhabitants of this septic isle though. If only some money could be found for education.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.
