More waffle, need proper statement/LTB.
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

I feel like I could write the script already. Stay Strong, inspirational solidarity, gross miss management, VESA, give me a like in the comments…
We’ve seen it all before,it’s like an endless Groundhog Day. We strike they announce stuff. We do a video.

No doubt more delusional waffle about us winning this dispute whilst Thompson is in the background ripping up agreements and announcing redundancies. Time the CWU woke up to reality, cancel the one days strikes they are a complete waste of time, use those dates to announce a full week and soon.

Re: Union live at 4:30pm today.
In all the years and years I’ve worked for RM it’s always been the same old doom and gloom week in week out. Why are they so hell bent on demoralising their staff? Surely if you look after your workers and make them feel appreciated you get results. Not keep kicking them week in week out. Some firms are trialing a four day week and reports back are that productivity is up and staffs morale is at an all time high.
It would be fantastic if just once, yes just once we were recognised for our hard work. We are working our backsides off day in day out, in all weather. Sometimes we have so much mail we can’t fit it in our van and have to come back for it when we have off loaded a few parcels. All this work and my colleagues are working the same, and you still can’t make any money. Surely it must be time to give up and shut up shop. Something must be seriously wrong, and it isn’t the I/A.
It’s definitely not the frontline workers at fault. I know for a fact myself and most of my colleagues are flat out from the minute they walk through the door to the minute they walk out at the end of the day totally exhausted. It’s never good enough and it never will be. If I had a business and my workers were working this hard and getting nowhere I would turn the lights off. Flogging a dead horse comes to mind. I’m sure other companies don’t run like this.
Where’s the vr forms? I’m first in the queue.

Thompson is hellbent on dismantling the CWU.
Think of this way! Historically unions have broken up/jobs/industries have always gone under a Tory government.
Thompson is a ruthless …. !

There is a video out on FB about the video going live at 4:30 today, just a reminder that it's happening soon, just in case.

Re: Union live at 4:30pm today.
Sums things up perfectly. I don’t know why we bother. I’ve never known a company have so little respect for its workforce. When I started someone told me “remember you’re just a number”. I didn’t know what they meant at first - but 3 years in to the job and now I get it.Shirtbuttons wrote: ↑14 Oct 2022, 14:45In all the years and years I’ve worked for RM it’s always been the same old doom and gloom week in week out. I’ve done close to 20 years and I’m still under 40 and I’ve come to realise that my future certainly lies elsewhere.

it's the only job I've been in were you have to give up or give more just to get a basic cost of living pay rise and even then its not enough.
