Seriously do any of the CWU Media team read the forums and what Posties are saying. Because I'm sure Thompson does and quick to react and defend his policies. But nothing from Dave Ward. All we get is gossip and hearsay from other moaning Posties. Thompson must be laughing his head off reading all these comments.
So Come on Dave and the CWU Media team let's us know where we at on the negotiations and stop keeping us in the dark.
TALK TO US PLEASE

Thompson is very proactive - even if you don't believe a word he says ... On workplace almost every day, spouting this, that ...Very quick to engage postie's, even if he does take a lot of s**t off them, which he does regularly on workplace! A few posts lately spouting nothing's going to change, busting what he calls CWU 'myths'. Like I said before, being on workplace gives you a window into his world ... One thing that has changed - no more posts from his top boys just lately - Ricky, Keith, etc - they seem to have all gone quiet ...

Simon Thompson
Dave Ward and I spoke this morning - if/when we have more to share - we will....

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

this is why we will lose, because we have infightning as usual, people doing overtime and people not doing overtiime, at the end of the day your not a scab if you do overtime outwith a strike day, anyone says different is a bitter bugger

There will be an update tomorrow. Whilst I recognise that everyone wants an update , the CWU have not been shy of updating members when there is something to say.

A lot going on in the background which will hopefully become clearer tomorrow.

It’s not good enough Martin , the union have to communicate more , even if there are no updates, communicate just to keep members engaged and keep spirits up . All I’m seeing from Dave Ward is Bt / openreach dispute, it’s not good enough.

Hold up Dave and Andy updated members on the picket lines last Friday and Saturday.

There will be an update tomorrow, however there is no point in saying something when there is thing to report at this stage.

The CWU have at every stage updated the members and will continue to do so. This is a bitter dispute and both the company and us are playing for high stakes.

In addition it is quite right that the CWU support our members in BT on their striking day. That does not stop them from perusing our dispute.

From what I've read, the BT bosses are doing what Thompson is doing - taking lots of pay/bonuses, then saying nothing in pot for the frontline staff ...

It’s not acceptable to say absolutely nothing to the workforce for a whole week , they announced talks broke down a week ago today and have switched attention to the bt dispute, you can see by all the messages on this board that members don’t think this is good enough, you don’t need to tell us it’s a bitter dispute, we are all losing money for it , communicate that’s all we are saying.

Hopefully your hear tomorrow that the CWU have been active behind the scenes but it is impossible to have a running commentary on everything which happens this week. There was a Postal Executive meeting on Tuesday which debated next steps to the dispute. You would have seen also an LTB on unagreed revisions, SIS0 and the RMPFS strike dates.
