Was there a scheduled meeting today (Sat 1st Oct) between RM and CWU representatives to resolve the issues at hand ?

I genuinely don't know, so thats why I'm asking.

If not - what was the latest situation on Friday night, and when is the next scheduled meeting please.

As far as I'm aware there are no talks officially scheduled between the two parties although I would expect some low level of communication to be ongoing.

TBH I would suggest it's rather lame to claim, "We don't work at weekends"

This situation is big enough (and they get paid enough) that I'd have thought they would be keen to get it resolved.

Rather like the Politicians that take a Summer Break when the countries going down the pan, and can't be recalled because, "The Government is in Recess". Meanwhile everyone else is meant to be working in a 24/7 365 world!

We was told yesterday by COM that ST during his conference calls has said that he's not worried about the strikes and that they aren't backing down as they're definitely not losing this war. He reckons staff will start to break the picket lines in there droves as they need the money which will devide the CWU and help derecognize them - what chance do we have with a CEO like this surely he has to go now as no trust left. CWU can never trust him again he has put us back 20 years and fails to realise that with his continual bully boy tactics all he does is unite us even more and get are backs up.
