Just got home from my stint on the picket line and it’s the same faces turning up, about 20 from a possible 120 staff at our office, also it’s the loud gobby ones that have a lot to say that you never see, absolutely p**s take.
Excuse after excuse why they can’t do it, yet begging managers to give them docket to cover their loss.
We have and we also will be ( in our office anyway ) our own worst enemy
What's worse than someone not being on the picket line, is someone who is on the picket line who.......
-Starts early.
-Works through their break.
-Works their day off during this dispute.
-Works overtime during this dispute.
Most posties in my depot work through their breaks even during this dispute. They want better pay, but they are working 7 hours for free a month for this company by working through their breaks.
I've told everyone this too. The biggest support you can give is to stay away. If you can spare a couple of hours to stand in the rain with me then I'll appreciate that too. I'm happy to be there to witness the level of support we are getting from the public. Felt these 2 days would be more of a test but out of 150 staff we have had only 2-3 new RM employees in with and a handful of agency and local managers.

Couldn’t agree with you more, and unfortunately we have quite a few of those type of people, why would you want to work for nothing ?? Just can’t get my head round that.
Withdrawal of labour is what really counts. That’s what Royal Mail feel - companies switching business in an instant. The legal withdrawal of labour on the result of a ballot means we still have that power over them.
Long weekend for me so down the van for 5 days, see you Tuesday, what a job, what a country
Hope you’ve planning on leaving tomorrow ( after your shift )
Never mind
Doesnt matter - he can take it as unpaid leave
Still losing a days pay obviously he thinks a strike is an excuse for a holiday has he never heard of a picket line.. or is it only militants that stand on picket lines.
