A coincidence that the second week of seasonal hours and all of a sudden workload through the roof? Hmmm

Not flexing anytime it’s still voluntary isn’t it?

Yes, the historical data suggested it’d be busier and it was proven correct.
Is it a coincidence that Xmas is on the same date every year? Surely you do not think that’s a coincidence or suspicious too.

Isn't that the point of seasonal hours ?

I'm still working to time though.

To be honest it's been a weird week at my place.
Monday very busy with mail, parcels average.
Least mail or parcels on a Tuesday all year, absolutely dead.
Wednesday no mail, hammered with parcels.
Thursday hammered with mail, very little parcels.

Can't say anything has "started" because there's very little pattern to it.

It's just a job now. It may have been a slight status in the past but now we are nothing. It really has come down to the fact if you don't like it leave. No-one is listening anymore. Union sold us out. If you want to make money then go for it. If you want to work to time everyday your on borrowed time as you will be hounded out.

Exactly, 'hounded' out implies you don't really want to go when I'd say 99% actually do!

Nobody is being hounded out while new starters barely stay in the job for a couple of weeks and old timers are leaving en masse. Retention will be even worse now the colder/wetter weather is rolling around. They at least need a barebones number of staff to keep offices running.
